Myra Washington – Country Artist
Born and raised in the vibrant musical landscape of Port Arthur, Texas, Myra Washington has forged her own trail as a singer, songwriter and DJ whose southern roots, gospel-inflected voice and unapologetic authenticity bring fresh energy to country music. Her latest single, “Cornbread Fed,” celebrates Southern culture, body positivity and Black womanhood with humor and heart.
With a childhood in the church and a family of musical achievers, Myra’s voice was shaped by soul, gospel and Southern conviction—and now she’s channeling it into country where she says: “strap on your boots, baby girl.”
She’s also signed with Harmony Hill Entertainment (Tennessee) to launch her country project, and her previous work as DJ “Karma Camille” in Los Angeles (working with Kevin Hart, DL Hughley, MAC Cosmetics and more) gives her a unique, genre-busting foundation.
As she moves into new territory, Myra is proving that country is not just one sound—it’s her story, her voice, her roots.
Myra Washington – The Funk & Soul Powerhouse
Long before stepping into country, Myra Washington made major waves as a versatile artist featured on the legendary Bootsy Collins’ 2025 studio album Album of the Year: #1 Funkateer. She co-wrote and performed on four tracks, including the single “Anybody Out There,” which launched October 3, 2025 and is receiving national and international radio play.
Critics noticed her immediately. For example, one review highlights “the strong Staple-esque vocal prowess of Myra Washington” in the title album context. Named one of Music Connection Magazine’s Hot 100 Unsigned Artists, Myra blends church-raised soul, DJ experience and songwriting chops into high-profile collaborations with Bootsy, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and more. Her work in funk and soul landed her on the map—and now she’s bringing every bit of that fire into her country work.
Having lived the big-stage life (background vocals on X Factor USA, sharing stages with Patti LaBelle, Chris Brown, etc.), Myra is equally at home in the spotlight: she’s not just featured—she’s frontline. Her versatility isn’t a gimmick: it’s part of her brand.
Whether it’s funk or country, from “We Outta Be Funkin” to “Trouble” (already released) to “Cornbread Fed,” Myra’s voice is unmistakable, her energy undeniable—and she’s just getting started.
